Netra Roga Samanya Nidan /common aetiology of eye diseases
Nidan means "Roga karana" (The cause of the disease)
Shushrutha, Vagabhata, Bhavamishra, Yogaratnakara, Dalhana, Saranga-dhara etc. Acharyad given the list of Roga karana which are practically observed by them, they are as follows:-
1) Ushnabhitapthasya jala praveshath:-
Exposing or drinking cool water immediately after exposing to heat, because of immediate opposite exposures the eye muscles affects and causes the eye diseases.
2) Doorekshanath:-
(Looking at the very distinct objects regularly for a long time)
Eye can visualise the things upto some distance without any strain, by seeing the very distinct objects for a long time.
3) Swapna. Viparya yaashcha:-
Abnormal sleeping habits.
1.DiwaSwapna
2.Nishi Jagara
4) Prasaktha samrodhana:-
Continuous weeping
5) Kopa (Excessive anger)
6) Shola (grief)
7) Klesha - stess - suffering - pain
8) Abhighaata
9) Ati Maithunna
10) Shuktha Aaranala,Amla,Kulutta,masha
