Pravani It is Rakthaja, Chedana vyadhi The affected shandhi is Shukla Krishna Sandhi (Vagabhata- Varthma Shukla Sandhi) Description-Sushrutha A small nodular copper coloured nodule or shopha arises in Shukla Krishna Sandhi by the vitiation of rakta dosha, it associate with pain and burning sensation. Vagabhata- a small round copper coloured follicle or nodule (pitica) resembling the mudga, originates in varthma Shukla Sandhi- associated with pain and burning sensation- if the nodule is excised it bleeds. Chikitsa- Swedana Chedana like arms Residue has to scrape by lekhana or prathisarana with saindhava lavana+Madhu etc drugs.

Upanaha/lacrimal cyst or iris cyst, Shalakya Tantra, Netra Sandhigata Roga

Upanaha / Lacrimal Cyst It is Kaphaja, Bhedana sadhya vyadhi. The affected sandhi is Drusti sandhi.(Vagabhata has not mentioned the name of affected Sandhi) Description of Sushrutha:- Painless, non supportive, bigger cyst originates in the Dusti Sandhi and have only itching sensation at the lesion. Description of Vagabhata:- A painless, non supportive, bigger, deep rooted, soft sticky, same colour cyst develops and contain itching sensation is explained as Upanaha Note:  Exact correlation is not possible, drusti identity itself not clear so on confirmation of drusti Sandhi is also difficult. But most of the authors explained it as lacrimal cyst or iris cyst. Chikitsa:  It's bhedhana sadhya vyadhi, but according to modern excision is the treatment principle.
